Applications for the 2024-2025 school year will begin to be accepted on 10/1/23 and will not be accepted prior to this date. All applications received between 10/1/23 and 10/20/23 will be entered into a random selection enrollment process to determine acceptance into the program. The random selection drawing will occur on or before 10/31/23 and families will be notified of the results of the drawing by 11/3/23. All applications entered into the random selection enrollment process that are not granted placement, will be automatically placed on our waiting list. All applications received on or after 10/21/23 will be added to the wait list in the order in which they were received.

Registration 2023/2024
Welcome to the Needham Public Schools District Enrollment for the 23-24 school year. You must be the child's legal parent or guardian to register the student. Kindergarten: Child must be 5 years of age on or before 8/31/23. Registration is a two-step process: Step 1: Complete the Online Pre-Registration Form. Once completed, you will receive a Pre-Registration confirmation email. Step 2: Once your Pre-Registration has been reviewed by the District Registrar you will receive an email with full registration instructions. Complete the online registration and provide the necessary documentation.

Once your Pre-Registration has been reviewed by the District Registrar you will receive an email with full registration instructions.
Complete the online registration and upload/complete the necessary documentation and information.
Registration Documents:
- Child's Birth certificate or passport
- Proof of Residency (Needham School District by Street List) Owners: real estate tax bill, or town water/sewer bill, or signed P&S. Renters: lease and utility bill.
- Submit a copy of the most recent physical examination with immunization record. Most pediatric physicals (within last 12 months) are acceptable even those from other states. Your child's physical does not need to be on a Massachusetts Health Record Form. For more information please read: Required Health Information

- Home Language Survey
- Provide proof of grade level – report card or progress report (For students entering Grade 2 through 12 only)
- Student Record Release (for all students except Kindergarten)
- MCAS report if applicable (Massachusetts residents only)
- Early Childhood Education Experience Survey (Kindergarten only)
- Special Education: PreK-8 Record Release form (if applicable)
- Special Education: 9-12 Records Release Form (if applicable)
- Performing Arts Selection for Grade 6 (High Rock School only)
- Copy of IEP or 504 Plan (if applicable)
- Custody papers (if relevant)

TRANSPORTATION:

The Emery Grover School Administration and Operations at 1330 Highland Avenue building will be closed to the public beginning Wednesday, December 21, 2022 due to construction.
School Administration and Operations will move to the former Hillside School at 28 Glen Gary Road and reopen to the public on Monday, January 9, 2023.
