Our Mission:
At Needham Public Schools, data tells the story of who our students are, what they need, and how we can serve them better. When the right systems are in place, data becomes a powerful tool – one that advances equity and improves outcomes.

Data Analysis, Reporting & Training (DART) helps the district use data more effectively to support students, educators, and schools. Our mission is to ensure information is accurate, accessible, and meaningful – so that decisions across the district are informed and student-centered.

As the district works to modernize and align services, DART is building the infrastructure to support these changes in schools. From enrollment tracking to student services, we help get the right information into the right hands – so every student has what they need to succeed.


Meet the DART Team:
Marilu Shepardson, District Registrar and Family Welcome Center Services Coordinator, leads "Data In." She oversees student registration, enrollment, and family support – ensuring accurate data is collected from the very beginning of each student’s journey, and helping new families navigate the system.

Ellyse Glushkov, Assistant Director of Finance, Analytics & Operations, leads "Data Through." She coordinates the systems and policies that allow data to move securely and meaningfully between platforms. She also helps align data with budgeting, staffing, enrollment planning, and program implementation.

Abigail Anderson, Data Analyst & Reporting Specialist, leads the "Data Out" work. She manages reports, analysis, and dashboards – including the rollout of Open Architects, a new data visualization platform that helps staff access and apply information more effectively.

Together, these roles – Data In, Data Through, and Data Out – form a connected pipeline, with integrity, equity, and student impact at every step.
